Policing

Justice is an inalienable human right, so it’s comforting to know that modern data management and exchange can make it more efficient and reduce the cost burden.

Logica provides commercial, business and technological expertise to help the policing community improve its services to the public by:

  • Increasing operational efficiency
  • Delivering enhanced management of information
  • Promoting knowledge sharing and best practice between networks
  • Ensuring compliance with the recent criminal justice reforms and community targets
  • We have a track record of successful, on-time delivery. Our ability to develop long-term, mutually profitable relationships with clients, means that we are making the goal of joined up justice a reality.

Logica has a proven track record of delivering solutions to government clients across Australia, from healthcare, to defence and policing. We recently designed and implemented a highly resilient, reliable and scalable enterprise-wide ICT infrastructure for CrimTrac that continues to deliver cost savings.

In the UK, Logica and Northgate are working with the National Policing Improvement Agency (NIPA) to develop the Police National Database (PND).  The PND is a highly secure information sharing function that enables the Police Service in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and other public protection agencies to electronically share, access and search existing local intelligence and operational information nationally.  Rollout of Phase 1 of the project commenced in 2010.
