What 1-Stop Connections needed
1-Stop Connections Pty Ltd is a joint venture between Patrick Stevedores and DP World who provide specialist ICT services to customers importing and exporting goods from Australian ports. 1-Stop’s parent companies were facing a myriad of logistical problems primarily due to two separate legacy booking systems and required a unified system to streamline their operations.  

The Challenge
Creating a vehicle booking system which could manage and coordinate multiple trucks arriving at the same time, which was secure, safe and efficient.

The Result
Logica was engaged to design and then build a single Vehicle Booking System (VBS) for 1-Stop that could service both Patrick and DP World across their Australian operations and the 1500 plus trucking companies that visited these facilities on a daily basis. From an IT perspective, a high level of security and simple scalability to accommodate new data sources were two mandatory features of the system.
